Nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tutors dont like what im doing...im SOOOOOOO confused! Changed my ideas now feels about a million times! So iv started hand sewing fabrics together to create my own patchworks. At least i know what colours i want to use, I have decided on brown, golds and turquoises. Lots of work to do, shoot me now!!!

This guy is AMAZING!!! Exactlly what i want to do...
I love his use of embroidery, i have looked at similar textiles before, using image transfer and then drawing with the sewing machine.

Memories
My idea for my collection is trying to tell a story through memories... a collection of dresses that get older, with textiled script and photos embellished onto the dresses which represent the year or time period.
Inspired by Tracey Emin textiles, as she tells a personal story through her pieces and installations.
Similar to this style, but i will use a more subtle approach, and apply a personal story.

Decisions Decisions...
My research is still pretty weak, finding it a struggle to progress and further with my ideas.
I have tried to concentrate on the marketing side of my project, thinking about campaigns and other current brands with a good marketing skills. Abercrombie and Fitch is a good example of good marketing. They have one particular look they target over an over again, called 'classic looks'.

Fantasy Vs Reality
Ok, so, not really sure what to do with this whole blog...all new to me!
Anyhooooo's... My basic research has been looking at Fairy tales, that don't have a happy ending. For example i have been very much inspired by the recent exhibition at Kensington Palace "Enchanted Palace" (have a look its pretty amazing) http://www.hrp.org.uk/KensingtonPalace/stories/palacehighlights/EnchantedPalace.aspx
Im considering something similar to this, some kind of Fashion Installation, all still up in the air with ideas etc, also i love Tracey Emin, so maybe looking at her work too.
